Small Thomson Camel Light Cashmere Scarf

Thom, the root of the name Thomson, is a short form of Thomas, which comes from an old word meaning "twin". Thomson means "son of Thom". Thomson Camel Light is a modern tartan, its ground kept pale so that the check reads softly rather than boldly. It is Scottish heritage in its most companionable form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf is cut to a smaller, neater scale. At this size the pale ground and fine lines sit close together, tidy and delicate.

Before it leaves the mill, each scarf has passed through 35 stages. The last is a hand-brushing with teasels, the spiky heads of the teasel plant, which lift the cashmere fibres to an extra soft finish. It is soft enough for a first cashmere scarf and well made enough to be handed on.
