Care Guide

1. General

Your Edinburgh Cashmere item will maintain its qualities if it is not directly exposed to sources of light and heat. Avoid excessive contact with water, oils, perfumes or cosmetics. Always follow care instructions on the label. For any further enquiries, we invite you to contact our Customer Service team via phone or email, where our team will be happy to assist you and provide details about our after-sales services.

Variations in tone, marks or grains are natural features that should not be considered imperfections.

2. Scarves, shawls and blankets

Your Edinburgh Cashmere item will maintain its qualities if it is stored in protective silk-coated paper. Avoid wearing necklaces or jewellery that may damage or tear the material.

Keep your scarves in excellent condition with these simple tips:

  • Gentle hand washing or dry cleaning.
  • Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, and lay it flat to dry.
  • Store your scarf in a cool, dry place, ideally folded in a breathable bag to prevent moth damage.

3. Bags and small leather goods

Your Edinburgh Cashmere item will maintain its qualities if it is stored inside its cloth case and is not over-filled so it can conserve its original shape. If your item gets wet, remove excess moisture by dabbing with a soft cloth and let dry at room temperature.

As a result of the transformation process, a slight transfer of colour can occur with all of our leather when rubbed, especially in humid environments.

Edinburgh Cashmere respects international standards for the protection and conservation of nature in all its creations.

4. Woven garments

Your Edinburgh Cashmere article has been made with high quality materials. Garments made of natural fibers such as linen and cotton should be kept in a dry place.

5. Knitwear garments

Your Edinburgh Cashmere knitwear item will maintain its qualities and original shape if it is folded and stored on a flat surface. Avoid the use of necklaces or other jewellery that may damage or tear the yarn. Pilling is a natural characteristic that can be reduced by avoiding excessive friction.
