Thomson Camel 100% Pure Cashmere Scarf

Thomson is among the oldest and most enduring of Scottish names. Meaning "son of Thom", it took root across the Lowlands and the Borders and arrived in Edinburgh, where the family became closely bound to the village of Duddingston, and it gave Scotland the saying "We're all Jock Tamson's bairns". The Thomson Camel is a twentieth-century tartan, drawing fine lines of red, black and white across a ground of warm, sandy camel. It is Scottish heritage expressed with restraint.

This scarf is handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere in a Scottish mill whose heritage spans 250 years. The camel tones are rich and luminous, and the check sits with quiet precision across the cloth.

Thirty-five exacting steps bring each scarf to completion. The final touch is the most traditional: the cashmere is hand-brushed with teasels, which gently raise the fibres to an exceptionally soft finish.
