Small Stewart Muted Blue Cashmere Scarf

The Royal Stewart is the personal tartan of the reigning monarch, and the pipers of the Scots Guards wear it. Early samples show its blue as a pale azure rather than the strong blue of later years, and Stewart Muted Blue recalls those gentler tones. The Muted palette softens the whole pattern into a quieter register. It is Scottish heritage in its most gracious form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf is made in a smaller size. The blue is cool and calm, with the colours of the pattern kept soft and close together.

Each scarf passes through 35 steps, and the last is done by hand. A final pass with teasels lifts the fibres to an extra soft finish. It is a scarf for quiet days and good coats, soft against the skin and made to last.
