Brown Check Wool Scarf

Brown brings an earthy, grounded character to our iconic check, a shade that recalls Highland peat and polished leather. Edinburgh Cashmere is a Scottish heritage brand, and this is the check at its most natural.

We create this scarf by hand in extra fine pure lambswool at a Scottish heritage mill, where 250 years of experience guide every pass of the shuttle. The iconic check is set out with careful precision, its brown deep and even from end to end. Layer it over a pale blue shirt, wear it with a navy reefer jacket, or rest it across the shoulders of a grey cardigan. The short fringe at each end gives it a relaxed finish.

Completing it takes 29 steps, among them dyeing, weaving, washing and finishing. The final touch is a brush with teasels, applied by hand as it has been for generations, raising the fibres to a gentle, extra-soft surface. Soft against the skin and built to endure, it is meant to travel with you for decades.
