Camel, Black and Red Check Wool Scarf

The warm, deep colour of a well-worn leather armchair forms the base of our iconic check, with broad black bands and fine red lines running through it. It’s a classic combination with a single flash of colour, and it looks effortlessly put together. Edinburgh Cashmere is a Scottish heritage brand, and this scarf shows the traditional check at its most assured.

The scarf is handcrafted in extra fine pure lambswool at a Scottish mill that has been weaving for over 250 years. In the iconic check, wide black and charcoal bands cross the camel in a generous, bold grid, and the slim red lines add a lively accent. Wear it with a navy rugby shirt and light-wash jeans, a mint-green blouse and black trousers, or a denim midi skirt and a white tee. The striped fringe, in black and cream, finishes each end with some character.

It takes 29 steps to make, and the last is a hand-brushing with teasels that leaves the wool soft, light and gently raised. A scarf to put on without thinking and still look pulled together.
