Royal Stewart Cashmere Scarf

Royal Stewart is Scotland's most storied tartan, closely tied to the Stewart monarchs, who ruled the Scots for over three hundred years. Its bright scarlet ground, threaded with bands of blue, green, black and white, is the personal tartan of the monarch. It has been worn at ceremonies, on parade and across the Highlands. This is Scottish heritage in its most recognisable form.

Our Royal Stewart scarf is handcrafted with pure cashmere in a 250 year old heritage mill in Scotland. The tartan is rendered with precision, its colours rich and resolved, so that the scarf carries its history with composed confidence.

Each scarf takes 35 steps to complete, from dyeing and weaving through to washing and finishing. The final touch is a gentle hand-brushing with teasels, a traditional method that lifts the fibres to an extra-soft finish. The result is a scarf of deep, vivid colour and remarkable softness against the skin, made to be worn season after season and kept for life.
