Small Reversible MacKellar Wool Scarf

MacKellar is a name with roots in two corners of Scotland, Angus in the east, where the family is said to have held its first seat, and Argyll in the west. It comes from the Gaelic Mac Ealair, "son of Ealair", and the main family settled in Argyll from the thirteenth century before spreading across Scotland and overseas. Its motto, "Perseverando", means "persevering", and its tartan has been woven in many colourways, from soft ancient shades to bold modern ones. This scarf is crafted from 100% pure extra fine lambswool in a Scottish mill with 250 years of heritage. It is reversible, so it can be worn with either face showing, and deep, smoky greys are lit by fine lines of white and a hint of blue, with the check holding its shape in a calm, steady rhythm.
