Thomson Navy 100% Pure Cashmere Scarf

Thomson means "son of Thom", a short form of Thomas, and the name appears in Ayrshire records from the early fourteenth century. It spread across the Lowlands and the Borders, and counts among its bearers Lord Kelvin, the great Victorian physicist who spent his career at the University of Glasgow. The Thomson Navy tartan sets bands of navy and white with fine lines of red and gold. It is Scottish heritage in its most distinguished form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf is woven in a deep, inky navy, brightened by fine lines of red and gold.

Thirty-five steps bring each scarf to completion. At the end, teasels are brushed across the cashmere by hand, raising the fibres to an extra soft finish. The result is a scarf of quiet substance and comfort, soft against the skin and made for everyday wear.
