Small Thomson Grey Cashmere Scarf

Thomson means "son of Thom". This grey tartan was designed in 1958 for Lord Thomson of Fleet, and it is based on a sample from the Moy Hall collection that dates from the middle of the nineteenth century. It is Scottish heritage in its most urbane form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf is made in a smaller size. The greys are silvery and cool, and the stripes are fine and exact.

Each scarf passes through 35 steps from first thread to finished cloth. The last is done by hand, with teasels drawn over the surface to raise the fibres to an extra soft finish. It is a scarf with a gentle warmth and a quiet, city-smart look, made to be worn often.
