Thomson Camel Cashmere Scarf

Thomson is one of Scotland's most familiar names. Meaning "son of Thom", it took root across the Lowlands and the Borders and into Edinburgh, where the family became closely tied to the village of Duddingston, and it gave Scotland the saying "We're all Jock Tamson's bairns". The Thomson Camel is a twentieth-century tartan, setting fine lines of red, black and white over a warm, sandy ground. This is Scottish heritage in its most understated form.

The Thomson Camel scarf is made from 100% pure cashmere, handcrafted in a 250 year old heritage mill. Its camel tones are warm and even, and the fine lines of the check sit crisp and clear across the cloth.

Every scarf passes through 35 steps before it is complete. The last is the most traditional: the cashmere is hand-brushed with teasels, which draw the fibres up for an extra soft finish. The scarf that results is soft, warm and gentle against the skin, made to stay in your wardrobe for years.
