Small Black Watch Cashmere Scarf

The Black Watch tartan began as a uniform and became a tartan shared by clans. The dark check of blue, green and black was first worn by the Highland companies raised to keep watch over the glens. It is now worn by several clans as their own, among them the Campbells, the Grants, the Munros and the Sutherlands. The Campbells, who supplied three of the original six companies, still wear it in lighter tones today. It is Scottish heritage in its most versatile form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf is made in a smaller size. The blue, green and black sit close together in a dark, even check.

Each scarf takes 35 steps to complete, and the last is a hand-finish. Teasels are passed over the cashmere, lifting the fibres to an extra soft finish. It is a dependable scarf for dark mornings, soft against the skin and made to be worn daily.
