Small Anderson Cashmere Scarf

Anderson comes from the Gaelic Mac Ghillie Aindrais, "son of the servant of Andrew". The Lord Lyon recorded arms for an "Anderson of that Ilk" in 1566, and in 2014 the Clan Anderson Society was granted its own, bearing the words "We Stand Sure". The clan has no chief, but its tartan is unlike any other. It is woven in seven colours where most tartans use six or fewer, and it needs a special loom. It is Scottish heritage in its most vibrant form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this smaller scarf keeps the full tartan in a more compact length. Its many thin stripes sit close together and lively.

Each scarf is woven, washed and finished over 35 steps. The last is done by hand, with teasels worked over the surface to raise the fibres to an extra soft finish. It is a scarf of cheerful colour and gentle warmth, ready for every cold morning.
