Anderson Cashmere Scarf

Anderson means "son of Andrew", a name that ties the family to St Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, and one recorded in Scotland as early as the thirteenth century. The clan is generally placed in Badenoch, with an oak for its crest and "Stand Sure" for its motto. Its tartan is among the most intricate in Scotland, a design of many fine stripes in several colours, known in its many variations since around 1900. It is Scottish heritage in its most considered form.

This scarf is handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere in a 250 year old heritage mill. The colours are rich and layered, and the fine stripes of the tartan sit with quiet precision across the cloth.

Thirty-five exacting steps bring each scarf to completion. The final touch is the most traditional: the cashmere is hand-brushed with teasels, which gently raise the fibres to an exceptionally soft finish. The result is a scarf of unhurried luxury, light in the hand and warm at the neck, made to be kept and cherished.
