We make this solid light blue scarf at Edinburgh Cashmere, a Scottish heritage brand, from pure extra fine cashmere in a gentle, even shade that feels fresh and easygoing. It pairs naturally with white, grey, navy and sand, and sits well beside chambray, wool and soft knitwear.

The cloth is woven at a 250-year-old heritage mill in Scotland, then dyed with care so the pale blue stays even and clear across the whole scarf. Loop it once, let it hang loose or tuck it beneath a jacket. The light tone brightens a darker coat and lifts a casual look, in any season.

Each scarf we make takes 35 stages, from dyeing and weaving to washing and finishing. We finish with a gentle hand-brushing using teasels, a traditional method that lifts the fibres to a soft, plush touch. It is a blue that stays easy to wear, made to be enjoyed for years.
