This solid colour scarf from Edinburgh Cashmere, a Scottish heritage brand, is made from pure extra fine cashmere in seven colourways: Red, Brown, Camel, Black, Light Blue, Gray and Dark Blue. Soft neutrals and clear, bright shades sit side by side, so it is easy to find the one that suits you.

Made at a mill that has been manufacturing for more than 250 years, the cloth takes its colour evenly and is finished with care, so each shade stays rich from end to end. Tuck it inside a collar, drape it across the shoulders or loop it once at the neck; light in weight, it adds polish without bulk.

Thirty-five steps go into every scarf, from dyeing and weaving to washing and finishing, and a gentle hand-brushing with teasels completes the work. This traditional method leaves the cashmere light, plush and exceptionally soft, a scarf to keep close for years.
