This solid colour scarf from Edinburgh Cashmere, a Scottish heritage brand, is made from pure extra fine cashmere, light on the shoulders and warm without weight. It comes in Brown, Camel, Black, Red, Light Blue, Gray and Dark Blue, each a shade that settles easily into everyday dressing.

Made at a mill with more than 250 years of craft behind it, the cloth falls in soft, easy folds and holds its colour evenly from end to end. Wear it long and loose, looped once at the neck, or tucked neatly inside a coat.

From the first dye bath to the final wash, each scarf passes through 35 careful steps. A last pass by hand with teasels, a traditional technique, raises the fibres to a soft, lofty finish. It is a scarf to reach for daily and to keep for years.
