Thomson Camel Light Cashmere Scarf

Thomson, meaning "son of Thom", is one of the most common names in Scotland, and it was carried by riders of the Borders. The clan society was formally recognised by the Lord Lyon in 2012. The Thomson Camel is a twentieth-century colour variation on the family's blue tartan, setting fine lines of red, black and white over a sandy ground. It is Scottish heritage in its most approachable form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere in a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf shows the tartan in a paler camel, its fine lines running crisp through the cloth.

Thirty-five steps go into every scarf, and the last is done by hand. Teasels are drawn across the cashmere to raise the fibres to an extra soft finish. The scarf that results is soft to the touch and made to become a constant companion.
