Fraser Red Cashmere Scarf

Fraser is a name with deep roots in Scotland. It first appears in the records around 1160, with a Simon Fraser who held land at Keith in East Lothian, and it is thought to come from the French word for strawberry, which is why the clan crest carries strawberry flowers. The Frasers stood beside Robert the Bruce, and in time the family divided into two branches, the Frasers and the Frasers of Lovat, whose motto, "Je suis prest", means "I am ready". The Fraser Red tartan carries that history in a ground of deep, commanding red. It is Scottish heritage in its boldest form.

This scarf is handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere in a Scottish mill whose heritage spans 250 years. The red is rich and saturated, and the lines of the tartan sit crisp and clear across the cloth.

Thirty-five exacting steps bring each scarf to completion. The final touch is the most traditional: the cashmere is hand-brushed with teasels, which raise the fibres to an exceptionally soft finish. The result is a scarf of vivid colour and quiet luxury, soft against the skin and warm at the neck, made to be worn for many winters.
