Stewart Camel Cashmere Scarf

The name Stewart comes from the office of High Steward of Scotland, held by the family from the twelfth century. In 1371 the sixth Steward's grandson took the throne as Robert II, and the house ruled Scotland until 1714. Mary, Queen of Scots later adopted the French spelling Stuart, which is why both forms are found today. Stewart Camel is a modern colourway of the family's tartan, set in warm, earthy tones. It is Scottish heritage in its most graceful form.

Handcrafted from 100% pure cashmere at a 250 year old heritage mill, this scarf gives the tartan a camel warmth, soft in tone and easy to wear.

Each scarf is brought to completion in 35 steps, and the last belongs to the hand. Teasels are worked across the cashmere to lift the fibres to an extra soft finish. The scarf that results is plush and cosy, and made to see many winters.
